Welcome!
I’m Brooke Clavesilla, and I provide individual psychotherapy and trauma-informed yoga for women, Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) and healing and helping professionals in Long Beach, California (CA) and throughout CA. I’m passionate about helping my clients struggling with trauma, anxiety, stress, burnout, self-doubt and low self-esteem to reconnect with their authentic selves, build self-confidence and self-esteem and live fulfilling lives.
As a woman of color who wants to make a difference in the world, I understand firsthand the challenges that come with balancing caring for yourself and juggling social expectations.
You may feel like you have a lot on your plate. Your friends, family and colleagues are counting on you and you’re afraid to let them down. You’re finding—in between reaching for your goals and caring for others—that it’s becoming a challenge to put yourself first and heal.
Through providing individual psychotherapy and trauma-informed yoga, I help you create the safe space you need to silence the outside noise and take care of yourself. If you’re ready to turn your attention inward, nurture a compassionate relationship with yourself and heal, I’m here to support you.
Brooke is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) & Certified Yoga Instructor.
She is a 3rd-generation Mexican-American and was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. Over the past 10 years, Brooke has planted roots in Long Beach, CA, a place she is proud to call home.
Her approach to therapy is integrative, holistic and trauma-informed. Brooke prioritizes creating a safe and empowering environment for you to heal while drawing from various therapeutic modalities and weaving mind-body practices into her work. Through her anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens, she acknowledges and examines the impact that systemic racism and oppression has on the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being of our communities to support you as you heal.
At the heart of her work is a deep passion for facilitating healing and social justice in her community. In a society that values productivity over rest, she views helping people slow down and reconnect with themselves as a radical act of self and community love.
